What is Animation

Animation is one of the latest and most breakthrough technologies of the computer applications, it is not only useful in the technological world but animations have also slowly taken over the entertainment and the other daily aspects of life.

Animations are commonly associated with the making of cartoon and 3 d characters. However the deeper understanding of the animations is that is a display of different images in a series which are in the artwork of 2-D models and their positions are arranged in such a way that it creates an illusion of the movement which is in fact fake. The theory behind it is that it that it follows a phenomenon of the vision persistence which causes the optical illusion of the images, resulting in an animation.

Animation is thus used for everything ranging from a flip-book to even a motion picture in today's world. The Animations are categorized into many different forms; the full animation is the one which is most-widely used to style the animations. This is well known to provide the very realistic and the detailed piece of information in the final result. For example all the Disney world full length motion pictures all fall into this category.

Then there is the Rubber hose animation, this animation brings about characters which are a bit cartoonish type and thus the animators using it have a lot of freedom to style and design the characters according to their own suitable need. The early Mickey Mouse and Donald ducks fall into this category.

Lastly there is the Rot scoping, which was launched back in the early 1900's in which the animators are able to trace the live movements into animations, by copying the outlines into an animated drawing. The example of this type is the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
